Lets start with the cosmetic updates before we blow your socks off with a kitchen addition.
This Galloway kitchen nestled in the country began as a “DIY” project. We were called in when the end result didn’t measure up to the homeowners expectations.
We used their love of copper as our inspiration, but softened the look for a better blend with their existing cabinets. The copper sheeting backsplash was replaced with clay tiles, made here in Ohio, and accented with copper mosaics and listellos. The old wallpaper replaced with a heavily textured, but neutral wallcovering, featuring a mica chip for a subtle flash of metallic. The custom valance window treatment, though bold with its black linen pattern, perfectly balances the black granite countertop. The client wanted to also keep their cabinetry, but the boring plywood peninsula was bring the look down. We added some simple trim details and gave the peninsula a very custom look.
